I have liked this guy for a long time now and he finaly held my hand but then...?

ok so i need some advice. this guys name is Kylan and he didnt even know me intill we went to camp together with my church. He finaly started to notice me and he held my hand like everytime we were together at camp and we almost kissed. But then when we got back from camp he got back together with his old girlfriend and it kinda felt like he forgot about me and everything that went on at camp. Any advice on what happend and what to do??
