Was this wrong of me because i've been told it was?

basically on saturday I was at a party and got drunk and ended up on some guys lap, looking him in the eyes and sort of going way too far. I haven't seen him since then but today I saw him and I was sat directly behind him in school. He kept turning round to smile at me but I ensured I was not looking at him by turning round and talking to my mates. Then as i walked out he smiled at me and I sort of looked and then looked away quickly. I felt really bad afterwards but I just can't believe my actions on saturday and had i not been drunk half my actions that night wouldn't have happend. :(. It's so awkward between us now and I don't know what to do because he's going to be in my school all next year.
